Understanding Sleep Disorders

If you’re feeling constantly tired, unfocused, or waking up throughout the night, it may not just be stress. You could be experiencing Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)—a condition where the airway becomes blocked during sleep, disrupting your breathing. OSA is more than just loud snoring—it can lead to serious health issues like heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and even obesity.

Millions of Americans live with OSA, often without knowing it. The good news? It’s treatable. At the Pain and Sleep Therapy Center, we’re here to help you breathe easier and sleep more soundly with personalized solutions designed just for you.

Recognize These Symptoms?

Sleep disorders can be easy to overlook, but if any of the following apply, you might not be getting the quality sleep your body needs:
  • Loud snoring or gasping for breath at night
  • Waking up repeatedly, without remembering
  • Daytime fatigue, no matter how much sleep you get
  • Morning headaches or a dry mouth when you wake up
  • Trouble with mood swings, irritability, or focus
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Waking up frequently to use the bathroom
  • Difficulty falling or staying asleep (insomnia)
  • Teeth grinding or jaw clenching during sleep
If any of these symptoms sound familiar, don’t wait. OSA can be a serious health risk. Request an appointment today, and let us help you uncover the cause of your sleep struggles.

Diagnosis: Finding the Right Answers

To properly diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), a physician’s evaluation and a sleep study are necessary.

01. At-Home Sleep Test – Portable Devices

A convenient and accurate option, often preferred by insurers, where you can sleep in your own bed while we gather important data.
02. In-Lab Sleep Study – Polysomnogram
Conducted in a professional sleep center, this comprehensive study provides the most detailed results, making it the “Gold Standard” in sleep assessments.

Treatment: A Customized Approach

Our approach to sleep therapy is designed to provide you with restful sleep through personalized treatment options.

CPAP Therapy

A mask delivers positive air pressure to keep your airway open during sleep. This treatment is effective for mild to moderate OSA and is recommended for severe cases.

Orthotic Device with Enhanced Airflow

A combined solution of CPAP and Custom Oral Appliance Therapy that supports the airway with positive pressure from a mask and stabilization of the jaw, tongue, and soft palate. This synergy improves airflow and sleep quality.

Custom Oral Appliance Therapy (Orthotics):

These custom devices stabilize the jaw and open the airway, helping those with mild to moderate OSA. Patients who can’t tolerate CPAP may find relief through repositioning the jaw and tongue for better airflow.

Compassion is at Our Core

We understand how difficult sleep disorders can be, physically and emotionally. Our goal is to make sure you feel heard, supported, and most importantly, well-rested. We create individualized treatment plans so you can get back to living your life with more energy.
